The active foaming technology in ePLA-LW significantly reduces material density while maintaining structural integrity. With a maximum foaming ratio of 220%, a single roll of ePLA-LW is equivalent to 2.2 rolls of standard PLA. The materials density is only 0.54g/cm³, making it ideal for lightweight applications like model airplanes and drones.

Strong Layer Bonding & Matte Finish

Unlike wood-based PLA, ePLA-LW offers more stable interlayer adhesion. The foaming rate and material strength can be adjusted by varying the printing temperature between 210°C and 270°C. The final print has a delicate matte texture, is explosion-resistant, and is easy to repair.

Optimized for Ultralight Prints

When heated between 210°C and 270°C, ePLA-LW starts foaming, increasing its volume by approximately 1.2 times. This allows for a reduced extrusion rate of around 45%, helping create ultra-lightweight parts. In RC planes, lower weight improves flight performance by reducing wing load and stall speed, resulting in better overall aerodynamics.
